The Lake Gets Gross and Weird

Due to overwhelming interest in the upcoming summer camp season, we have added another week of elementary camp. August 2-6 we will bring you a brand new camp called Gross and Weird: Tales From the Bible. This camp is for children in completed grades 3-5. We will be exploring those stories from the Bible that involve the unusual and sometimes gross side of life. We will discover how God can use even the weird to teach us about living in relationship with Him.

If you are a Florida church or have a later school start date we are encouraging you to consider coming to this camp. We want every child that wants to come to camp to be able to do so. Some of our mid-summer camps will fill up and have waiting lists this year. Cherie Meadows from Point Washington UMC agreed to help lead this camp in an effort to provide more space for elementary campers to attend Blue Lake this summer.

We are very excited about this new camp and hope you are ready to get gross and weird this summer!

2009

In the summer of 2009, over 1700 children, youth, and adults came to Blue Lake to experience a variety of fun activities balanced with the opportunity for spititual growth and development.

The Blue Lake staff and Board of Trustees would like to thank you all for your support last summer and your continued support throughout the year. We are excited to see Blue Lake continue to grow and we look forward to continued opportunities to serve those in our conference and beyond.

Summer 2010 looks to be a great camping season with some surprises in store. Until then, please enjoy these picutes from this past summer camp season.
